About Us
Our choices today affect their future
B & G Products is a privately owned manufacturing company based in rural Staffordshire. We have more than 30 years experience within the industry supplying bags of ideas and innovation through design. We invented the Trolley Bag to ease the task of transporting supermarket shopping home. This bag has become very well known and loved by regular supermarket shoppers with its handle system that is specially designed to secure it to the trolley sides.
Despite fierce competition from outside the UK all our bags are produced in our converted farm buildings with a loyal and dedicated workforce. Our company ethos is dedication to quality, service and competitive prices for our customers this helps to develop long term working relationships.
In the late 80’s came the food scare – lysteria hysteria and salmonella eggs! To satisfy our clients requirements we invented The Insulated Cool Bag. This product is as relevant today as it was when we first designed it. Chilled foods can be transported safely from store to home. The Cool Bag is also popular for use at outdoor events such as picnics, summer concerts and family venues.
Both of the above products are reusable, recyclable helping you to protect the environment and transport groceries in safe and secure environments, our products are available in many supermarkets throughout the UK.
Environmental Issues - Help Our Planet
Discarded bags are a world wide problem, how many do you see in the hedge, in the street, in your bin? The issue of wasted polythene bags is widely misunderstood and numerous solutions have been put forward such as fabric or paper bags. In fact, recyclable polythene bags are made from a FREE resource - the by-product of the oil processing industry. So if this widely available material is made into bags that can be reused and finally recycled at the end of their useful lives, the bags that we make at B&G Bags are actually a more environmentally neutral than many other carrier bag solutions. The cheap imported carrier bags that are given away free by our supermarkets are the ones that end up polluting the planet. Over 30,000 are given away by the average supermarket every week in the UK.
